What does 1001 smell like?

It opens with saffron, cardamom and ginger for a spiced warmth, while bergamot and lime lighten it slightly. In the heart, damask rose absolute, iris and violet take the lead, giving the floral side a soft, powdery feel. In the base, amber, sandalwood, vanillin and musk sweeten it and settle it on a woody footing.

Longevity and sillage are both rated good, and over half of voters find the longevity high, though the small number of votes keeps that picture tentative. Being unisex, it suits both men and women. Guerlain Samsara (Eau de Parfum) and Amouage Lyric Woman (Eau de Parfum) have a close profile.
