Jan Barba Aiyoku is a unisex chypre that sets the freshness of vervain against the earthy depth of patchouli, oud and oakmoss.
Released in 2020, Aiyoku is rated good for both longevity and sillage by those who voted, though the number of votes is small, so these ratings are only indicative. Its woody, earthy build sits as comfortably on a man's skin as on a woman's.
It opens citrusy and green, with vervain carrying that cool edge. In the heart, patchouli and oud come forward and the scent darkens. The base of oakmoss, vetiver, cedarwood and cypriol settles into a resinous, leathery, dry woodiness. Bartosz Puzio's green opening softens the heavier base.
